Wallpaper*, the leading lifestyle bible, produces some 20 city guides a year: handy pocket books featuring the trendiest hotels, bars, architecture and shops on the planet. It sought a fluent Italian speaker to augment its Italian coverage.

Volunteered Echosix director Jonathan Lee to write the Wallpaper* guide to Bologna, a city famous for its surfeit of bars and restaurants. Weeks of in-depth research tested Jonathan's fluent Italian and waistband to their limits.

Resulting in...

A top-notch insider's guide, published in November 2008. More Italy guides written by Jonathan are in the works, helping position Wallpaper* as the last word in Italian cool.
