LITERARY FESTIVAL / CHAIRING

Corporate news 5 July 2018

Echosix director Jonathan Lee is chairing a session at Ways With Words, one of the UK’s leading literary festivals.

Jonathan will be quizzing author Pamela Sandy Gorman, who will talking about her autobiographical book, My Life Growing Up on the Dartington Hall Estate 1945-54, on Sunday, 8 July.

Thanks to visionaries Dorothy and Leonard Elmhirst, the Dartington estate became an extraordinary rural experiment from the 1920s, pioneering ideas and practice in education, agricultural, performing arts and social responsibility.

The session will cover Pamela’s idyllic childhood, taking in the trials and tribulations of hard manual labour on the farm, madcap cycling jaunts to Cornwall and close encounters with military snipers.
